Entry Requirements for University of the Free State Undergraduate Courses:

In order to be eligible for admission to study undergraduate courses, applicants need to meet minimum entry requirements for admission into UFS. See the general admission entry requirements below.

  • A National Senior Certificate (NSC) or National Certificate: Vocational (NCV) Level 4, or an AP of 18 – 24 for admission to Bachelors Degree.
  • Four subjects on level 3 (40%–49%).
  • Language of instruction on level 3 (40%) for all options.

How to Apply to Study UFS Undergraduate Courses:

Check the application opening date and the deadline: UFS Application is often opens on the 1st of April. Also, the closing date for undergraduate study application at UFS is 30 September.

Payment of Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of R120 is required when submitting the online application.
